Best Testosterone Boosters To Boost Your Testosterone 2018-04-23T06:52:02+00:00

Did you know the testosterone boosters industry is now worth more than $5 billion per year?

With that kind of moolah floating around it’s no wonder there’s so many shady companies who lie to try and trick you into buying their products that simply don’t work.

And it’s probably why you see comments like this all the time..

“Testosterone boosters are a scam! They don’t do a thing!”

Pic of greedy marketer.

So I’m writing this post for all the men out there who want to know what really works.

By the end of this article you’ll know exactly what you need to do to get your testosterone levels surging again.

You’ll be feeling like a new man in to time!

It’s a fact that many of us do suffer from low levels of testosterone.

Do you?

Quiz Time! Before we get started I recommend you go through the short quiz below to find out if you are suffering from low levels of testosterone.

  • Fatigue and tiredness.
  • An increase in body fat.
  • A decrease in strength.
  • Finding it hard to get a good nights sleep.
  • Memory problems.
  • Finding it hard to concentrate.
  • Low sex drive
  • Loss of strength.
  • Loss of hair.
  • Hard to get an erection.

Here are the contents of this post.

The definition of low testosterone: Low testosterone is defined as anything below 300ng/dl (nanongrams per decaliter).

Now checkout the graph below.

It shows how testosterone declines in the average male as we age.

A 20 year old male produces 3 times more testosterone than a 60 year old!

After you reach the age of 30 your testosterone starts to decline by 1-2% per year.

And the average man starts to see low testosterone levels of 300ng/dl at around the age of 45.

This could explain why 18 million American men between the ages of 40 and 60 now use testosterone boosters of some kind.

Note ABOUT AGE: Although the average man begins to suffer symptoms of low test at around the age of 45 low testosterone can wreak havoc on men of any age. Even in men as young as 20, it’s just not as common.

Note if you are reading this post and you’re thinking of using testosterone boosters simply because you want to build muscle then I recommend you checkout this post I wrote about legal steroids instead. (They’re specifically for guys who want to build muscle and get in shape.)

When testosterone levels start to get around 300ng/dl the nasty symptoms mentioned above will occur.

Most guys put these symptoms down to old age and are content to spend the rest of their lives feeling tired and flabby.

But we’re not one of those kinds of people.

We’re the type who want to fight back and kick “old-age” in the ass!

The good thing is that if used correctly testosterone boosters can provide sensational results.

“Not so fun fact: The average man of today has 20-30% less testosterone than the average man of 20 years ago!”

It is believed to be because on average men today are heavier than our forefathers and obesity reduces testosterone levels.

What Is Testosterone?

Testosterone is a hormone produced naturally in males and females.

Men typically have 15 times more of it than women do.

It is produced in the testicles.

When you are a fetus it is testosterone that is responsible for the development of the male sexual organs.

And when you are a teenager going through puberty it is testosterone that helps turn you from a boy into a man.

Unfortunately as you get older your testosterone levels dwindle down to almost nothing.

Fun Fact: Men who are newly in love have slightly lower levels of testosterone.  Probably so you can seem less aggressive to your partner. Testosterone levels generally return to normal after 12 months. Maybe that explains why so many people split up after the honeymoon period?

What Are Testosterone Boosters?

Testosterone boosters are supplements designed to increase the rate of free testosterone in the blood.

Free testosterone is the testosterone that is freely available in the blood that can be used by the brain, muscles and other organs.

Free testosterone is what really matters.

Many people have normal testosterone levels but low levels of free testosterone.

Testosterone boosters are our best options as men when it comes to antiaging and improving our health.

They are generally considered very safe because we produce testosterone naturally.

Later on in this post I’m going to reveal some of the products that do work and also how you can boost your testosterone naturally and for free!

What Are The Main Causes Of Low Testosterone?

Apart from age there are several other factors that can lead to low levels of testosterone.

Let’s look at them below.

1: Obesity

Did you know that when you are overweight you produce an enzyme called aromatase?

This nasty little enzyme converts some of that lovely testosterone that you have inside of you into the female hormone estrogen!

This can make you physically weaker and more emotional.

The more fat you are carrying on your body the more aromatase you produce.

2: Lack of sleep

Lack of sleep can destroy huge chunks of testosterone in your body.

Everyone feels better when they’ve had a good night’s sleep but many of us stay up too late and don’t get enough of it.

Inadequate sleep can reduce your testosterone levels by over 15%!

3: Alcohol

Regular drinkers of alcohol generally have 10% less testosterone than those who don’t drink.

Without a doubt testosterone boosters can produce spectacular results and can make you look and feel 10 times better.

Fun Fact: A study on London futures traders showed that on the days where their testosterone levels were above the normal range they ended up closing out the day with higher than average profits!

Should Younger Guys Use Testosterone Boosters?

Testosterone declines as we age. If you are under 40 and genuinely believe that you are suffering from low testosterone then it’s best to consult your doctor and get some blood tests to make sure.

However, if you are one of the many younger guys reading this that wants to take a testosterone booster so that you can build muscle, get in shape and look better then I would recommend reading about legal steroids here.

They’re just as safe as t-boosters but they’re specifically designed for guys who want to build muscle and get in shape.

Fun Fact: Competition forces a mans testosterone levels to rise. A win can raise it even more while a loss can make it go down!

Scientifically Proven Testosterone Boosting Ingredients

Below are some of the only ingredients that are scientifically proven to boost testosterone levels.

Zinc is an essential mineral and you can’t live without it.

Your body can’t store it so you need to get it from food or supplementing on a regular basis.

Zinc is a testosterone booster because it blocks the enzyme aromatase which as mentioned above converts testosterone into estrogen.

Zinc is essential if you exercise to exhaustion because exercising to exhaustion can decrease testosterone levels but supplementing with zinc can prevent this decrease and have a beneficial impact on testosterone and performance.

Many men don’t get enough zinc.

The recommended daily intake for supplementation is 15-40mg per day.

D-Aspartic Acid

A study was conducted on D-Aspartic acid.

23 men were given 3.12g/day of D-Aspartic Acid and 20 were given a placebo.

After 12 days 87% of the group who were taking the D-Aspartic Acid had an average increased testosterone levels of +42%.

The recommended daily intake is 3,000mg per day.

Vitamin D3

Vitamin D isn’t a vitamin it’s a hormone that is responsible for regulating over 1,000 different bodily functions.

One study showed that when healthy men supplemented with 3,332ius of vitamin d per day for a year their testosterone levels were 25% higher than that of the participants taking a placebo.

It is estimated that only 14% of men have optimum levels of vitamin d.

The best way to get your vitamin d is through regular sun exposure to either the chest or genitals. 🙂

Apparently sun exposure to the genitals is 200% more effective at boosting testosterone than exposure to the arms.

If it’s not possible to get regular sun on your balls because maybe you have nosy neighbors then supplementing will do just fine!

The recommended daily intake is 3,000-5,000ius of vitamin d per day.

Tongkat Ali

Also known as Eurycoma Longifolia the plant is mainly found in the Malaysian rainforest.

This study on 76 men who suffered from low testosterone found that after just 1 month the men saw a 46% increase in testosterone and 90% of all participants were able to get their testosterone levels back into a normal healthy range.

The recommended daily intake is 150mg per day.

This ingredient comes from the root of a plant called Withania Somnifera.

This study of 57 young male subjects used Ashwagandha and were able to increase their testostetone levels significantly above the placebo group.

The conclusion was that this ingredient can significantly boost testosterone and increase muscle mass and strength.

Another study show that Ashwagandha increased free testosterone levels by 10-22%.

The recommended daily intake is 300-300mg per day.

Ginseng is very common among testosterone boosters.

One study here;jsessionid=dnM5Kwqx09ut7hFOaNIQ.0 concluded that Panax Ginseng (a root from Korea) provides and increase in total and free testosterone.

It’s also proven to help greatly improve erection quality.

The recommended daily intake is anywhere between 750-3,000mg per day.

Fenugreek often found in testosterone boosters because it has been shown to slightly increase testosterone in t-deficient men.

It has also been shown help block the enzyme aromatase which is responsible for breaking down testosterone and increasing estrogen levels.

Men who trained regularly and consumed 500mg of Fenugreek per day noticed a slight testosterone increase, increased strength and a reduction in body fat.

  • 81% had increased libido.
  • 66% reported improved sexual performance.
  • 81% reported increased energy levels.
  • 55% reported a better sense of well-being.

The recommended daily intake of Fenugreek is 500mg per day.

Ginger has been used for centuries in alternative medicine.

It has been shown to reduce inflammation in the body and can even boost testosterone levels by up to 17%!

Tribulus Terrestris

Almost every single one of the testosterone boosters being sold online contains Tribulus Terrestris.

On healthy males and athletes Tribulus has been shown to have no effect on testosterone but on males suffering from low-t it has been reported to help boost free testosterone by 10-20%.

The recommended daily intake is 400-600mg per day.

Vitamin B6

You’ll find that many of the best testosterone boosters contain large doses of Vitamin B6.

That’s because this vitamin has been shown to help greatly increase absorption of the other testosterone boosting ingredients.

Vitamin B6 also helps to increase the production of androgens which cause testosterone levels to rise.

The recommended daily intake is 4-6mg per day.

Researchers in this study gave participants 10mg of boron per day.

Most of us get significantly less Boron today than our ancestors did.

Yet this trace mineral can;

  • Boost free testosterone by +28%
  • Reduce estrogen levels by -39%

As well as reduce inflammation.

The daily recommended intake is 5-20mg/day. 10mg would be a good starting point.

Magnesium is an essential mineral for the human body.

Did you know that it helps control over 300 functions within the body?

In one study just 1gram of magnesium helped boost testosterone levels by over 24%

Many men who have low testosterone levels are also deficient in magnesium.

The recommended daily intake is 400mg per day.

DHEA, short for Dehydroepiandrosterone is a hormone found naturally your body.

This hormone has a vital role when it comes to controlling estrogen levels and increasing testosterone.

Studies here, here and here show that DHEA can boost testosterone levels by +20% compared to a placebo.

Note for professional athletes: The use of DHEA has been banned in many professional sports because of its performance boosting effects.

If you are a professional athlete who is subject to performance enhancing drug tests, then make sure this isn’t on the banned list in your sport before you use it!

The recommended daily intake is 50-200mg per day.

Only a very small amount of this is needed per day but many of us are still deficient in Selenium.

Healthy levels of selenium have been correlated to increased production of testosterone.

The recommended daily intake is 100-200mcg/day.

Those are some of the amazing ingredients that are proven to help your testosterone levels soar like a rocket and bring about the unbelievable benefits that come with boosting your testosterone levels.

Fun Fact: A mans index finger is shorter than his ring finger but the opposite is true for women. This is due to the amount of testosterone we were exposed to as a fetus. The same is true for rats!
