The educational publishing community is a diverse one with many entities combining
to ensure the successful production and delivery of educational products and services.
AEP invites all those interested in educational publishing to join with us in
one of the following categories of membership:
Corporate
Non-Profit/School Independent/Freelance
Affiliate Student |
Corporate
The
corporate category is open to all companies involved in educational publishing.
Since AEP membership is organizational, all employees of member companies are
eligible to attend events at the member rate and receive AEP Online. AEP
aims to help corporate members achieve greater sales and profitability. While
marketing is an essential component, in reality it is understanding the full scope
of the educational marketplace from many angles that truly provides the blueprint
for making successful management decisions. In terms of organizational structure
within AEP, each corporate member is entitled to one vote. Return
to Top Non-Profit/School
The
non-profit category is open to all non-profit organizations that directly publish
educational materials or have an interest in supporting the continued importance
of quality educational products. Membership is organizational, so all employees
of member companies receive member benefits. Non-profit
organizations are especially interested in trends and new approaches for learning
opportunities, and often form much of the backbone for advocacy on behalf of the
educational publishing community. In terms of organizational structure
within AEP, each non-profit member is entitled to one vote. Return
to Top Independent/Freelance*
Open
to individuals and freelance professionals involved in educational publishing
and reporting. Membership is individual and the member may attend all events at
the member rate. Independent and freelancers receive extensive opportunities
to interact with all AEP members, an ideal audience for pursuing writing opportunities.
Access to the proprietary AEP Online Directory alone is invaluable, but combining
this with the opportunity to join with AEP members at many events makes this an
investment that's bound to pay off. In terms of organizational structure
within AEP, independent/freelance is a non-voting member. *The Independent/Freelance
category is limited to individuals not representing a company or organization.
As a member in this category, a member's company will not be listed in AEP materials. Return
to Top Affiliate/Service
Providers
Open to all companies and consultants who serve the
educational publishing community. Membership is organizational so all employees
of member companies are eligible to receive member benefits.
Affiliate members get opportunities to rub shoulders with AEP members in
environments that are ideal for business opportunities. Why struggle making cold
calls for appointments when you can meet key individuals in person at a variety
of industry events? In terms of organizational structure within AEP, Affiliate
members are non-voting members. Return
to Top Student
Open
to full-time, enrolled college and university students interested in a future
in educational publishing or related fields. Membership as a student is individual,
and attendance at events is at the member rate. AEP membership for students
is an excellent investment as it exposes individuals to the world they are going
to enter after graduation. In fact, smart students know that networking while
in school can often result in having a job lined up before graduation. In
terms of organizational structure within AEP, student members are non-voting members. Return
