New survey examines emerging HR trends in educational publishing
AEP releases the results of its 2006 Salary & Benefits Survey
LOGAN TWP., NJAUG. 15, 2006Over 40% of educational
publishers offer their employees release time during work hours
for approved volunteer workthis according to a new study published
by the Association of Educational Publishers (AEP). The 2006
Salary and Benefits Study, produced in cooperation with Lois
Eskin Associates and Hagen Marketing Research, Inc., examines emerging
job functions, current salary ranges, and new "perks"
and benefits, painting a picture of an industry in tune with the
needs of the modern employee.
"Educational publishing as an industry is still fairly young,
and the results of this survey confirm the progressive nature of
the companies within this field," said AEP's CEO, Charlene
Gaynor. "People involved at all levels of the industry will
find this research both useful and informative."
Featured data in the survey report includes:
- the most prevalent job titles in the industry
- annual salary figures, raises, and bonuses for 13 job titles
- medical insurance packages
- retirement plans
In addition to this compensation data, the report also contains
in-depth demographic information on the location of educational
publishing companies and organizations, their primary publishing
activities, and their size in terms of number of employees.
The 2006 Salary & Benefits Survey is the first of study
of its kind published since 1999, providing current and needed data
for this growing industry.
