Employs EDRoom to Gather Feedback from Innovation Incubator
Participants
The Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA),
a trade association serving the software and digital content
industry, took advantage of the EDRoom
online discussion service to gather feedback from companies
that recently participated in SIIA’s annual Innovation
Incubator Program (IIP). The Innovation Incubator Program
was held at the SIIA 2009 Ed Tech Industry Summit in San Francisco
in May.

as Vice President, Sales & Marketing, effective today.
He will be based out of the Santa Barbara office and report

30 years of sales and marketing management experience in both
the private and public sectors, Tom is widely recognized as
a leader in the Education technology industry. Tom has served
as a Trustee on the Board of Directors for the National School
Boards Foundation, as well as keynoted at several Education
conferences, including the E School News Symposiums. His professional
background reflects his passion for helping students, teachers,
and schools through enabling technology-based solutions that
improve the quality of the learning process.

The Association of American University Presses (AAUP), a
nonprofit organization of academic publishers is pleased to
announce a cooperative agreement with iPublishCentral,
a self-service e-content delivery platform from Impelsys,
to support its 130 members in pursuing electronic publishing.
The partnership provides AAUP members with a discount for
using iPublishCentral's e-publishing platform and services
through AAUP.

Named in ABC-CLIOs History Research Competition for
Middle and High School Students
Eight teams of secondary students and their teacher coaches
from around the country are the grand-prize winners of ABC-CLIOs
2009 research competition,
History Uncovered. The five high school and
three middle grade teams were honored from among hundreds
of entries for exemplary research defending their choice of
the top 10 people, events and places that shaped history.
Each team and its school will receive more than $60,000 in
cash and prizes.
