LOGAN TWP., NJ--The Association of Educational
Publishers (AEP) will offer a look at the future of the industry
at its 2005 Educational Publishing Summit, held June 6-8 at the
Renaissance Hotel in Washington, D.C. The theme of the event, "Focus
Forward--Capitalizing on Your Content," emphasizes AEP's commitment
to bringing publishers cutting-edge information.
"We pride ourselves on being in tune with issues that are
pertinent to the industry," said AEP's Executive Director
Charlene Gaynor. "We feel this year's Summit is particularly
relevant, as the move toward digital content and universal design
becomes reality."
The event's featured speakers include some of the preeminent experts
in the fields of education and marketing:

Fellow at the National Center for Education and the Economy. An

Today, The Wall Street Journal, The NY

among many others.
- Erin Gruwell, Founder and President of the Erin Gruwell Education
Project, is best known for authoring The Freedom Writers
Diary - How a Teacher and 150 Teens Used Writing to Change Themselves
and the World Around Them (Doubleday 1999). The book

at Woodrow Wilson High School through literature and writing. Ms.
Gruwell and her students have been featured onseveral television
