Educational publishing's top marketing products
honored
Logan Twp., NJ--June 12, 2009--The Association
of Educational Publishers (AEP), the national, nonprofit association
for the educational resource community, has announced the winners
of the 2009 Beacon Awards for excellence in education marketing.
This year's winners were honored at a special luncheon held during
the AEP Summit in Washington, DC, at the JW Marriott hotel. The
featured speaker at the event was Joe Rospars, founding partner
at Blue State Digital and New Media Director on Barack Obama's presidential
campaign.
The Beacon Awards are sponsored by MDR and recognize marketing
products in 11 distinct categories, including technology categories
Digital Marketing, E-mail Marketing, and Webinars/Podcasts. Winners
are judged on design and editorial quality, efficacy in reaching
intended audience, and overall cohesiveness. From among the top
entries, one product is honored with the Gold Beacon, education
marketing's top honor.
"Marketing is the voice that breathes life into products,"
said MDR President Fady Khairallah at the luncheon. "It is
the essential mechanism to connecting students to solutions. It
gives shape to our strategy and reality to our dreams. Without marketing,
there cannot be a dialog between need and solution."
