at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair
Bologna, Italy—The winners
of the fourth annual GLI Awards for excellence in educational publishing
were announced today in the Demonstration Classroom of the Global
Learning Initiative (GLI), Area 42 at the Bologna Children’s
Book Fair (BCBF). The GLI Awards recognize excellence and innovation
in teaching and learning products from around the world.
Roberta Chinni, Project Manager at the BCBF, was on
hand to present the awards, and Dick Casabonne, Principal at MarketingWorks,
Inc., chairman of the GLI Awards committee, spoke on behalf of the
judging panel.
“This year’s entries were all extremely
valuable learning tools, and the winners are truly representative
of the world’s most cutting-edge educational materials,”
said Casabonne.
The winners of this year’s awards are:
Drawing is a Class Act, Brilliant

proofs, experiments, and exercises to guide the reader in accessing
his individual
voice so that he “shows and doesn’t tell” every
time. The GLI Awards are part of the international rights center
known as the Global Learning Initiative, a partnership between the

Book Fair that facilitates business development among K-12 educational
publishers. Other features of the GLI include a daily publishing
