June 2002

New York—TIME and TIME For Kids announced the winners of the 2002 Student Publishing Awards at the Association of Educational Publishers’ (AEP) annual conference in Washington, D.C. The awards were presented by Keith Garton, president of TIME Learning Ventures, at a luncheon on Wednesday, June 5 at the Capital Hilton.

The awards, established in 1998 by AEP and sponsored by TIME and TIME for Kids, recognize excellence in student-written and student-produced publishing in three categories: news publications, yearbooks and class annuals, and literary publications.

“TIME and TIME For Kids are all about great writing. It’s part of our mission to encourage young writers in America – to help them see the power and purpose of sharing their writing and publishing,” said Mr. Garton.
