AEP Announces Finalists in the 2002 Distinguished Marketer
Awards

LOGAN TOWNSHIP, NJThe Association
of Educational Publishers (AEP) today announced the finalists for
the 2002 Distinguished Marketer Awards, which are sponsored by Market
Data Retrieval (MDR), the leading U.S. supplier of education market
information, and National School Supply and Equipment Association
(NSSEA), a trade association of more than 1,500 member companies
serving the school market.
This years entries represented a wide
spectrum of school marketing materials, said Adrienne Watts,
vice president of marketing for NSSEA. The winners and finalists
truly represent some of the finest work in the field and will serve
as a benchmark to others in the school market.
Open to members and non-members of AEP, entries compete
in seven individual categoriesBrochures, Catalogs, Direct
Mail, Display Ads, Integrated Campaigns, Media Kits, and Web Sitesthe
Marketing Master is chosen from the best of all entries.
"We are pleased to be a sponsor of the Distinguished
Marketer Awards Program, the only awards program that recognizes
excellence in education marketing," said Mike Subrizi, director
of marketing for Market Data Retrieval. "These prestigious
awards allow education marketers the opportunity to showcase their
products while being acknowledged for their outstanding accomplishments."
The final judging panel is drawn from a national
pool of educators; writing, publishing, and design experts; and
marketing professionals. Judges may pick up to four finalists per
category, including the winner, but can choose less if warranted.
In some categories, no finalists are selected.
Winners will be announced Wednesday, June 5 at the
Distinguished Marketer Luncheon held at The Capital Hilton in Washington,
DC.
