Key Opportunity for Reaching Special Needs Audiences

The special needs market has become a major topic of discussion among educational publishers as of late.  With the development of new technology, publishers are continually finding new ways to better serve at-risk students, students with learning differences, students with physical disabilities, and English Language Learners (ELLs).  The audience is out there and ever-growing, but finding a direct way to reach them can sometimes be difficult.  Publishers have a number of options when it comes to shopping their products to the right people--parents, teachers, administrators, or even the students themselves--and covering all of these can become costly and sometimes ineffective.

One new avenue for reaching a target audience is to join forces with publishers of similar materials or to have your information posted in a catalog aimed at a specific market. In the special needs area, a new publication from Marketing Projects, Inc., The Big Deal Book for Educators of Struggling Learners, will serve as an innovative resource of resources for administrators, mainstream educators with special needs students in their classrooms as well as special education teachers.  Included in the publication will be research reports and articles, technology tools and services, professional development programs, etc., of particular interest to this audience.
