A Glimpse at the K-6 Professional Development MarketAccording to a recent market study released by Lois Eskin Associates and research specialist Charles Lundgren, the total market for professional development programs and materials in grades K-6 is $1/2 billion. The report, "The Study of the Grade K-6 Professional Development Market," was released April 22. "No Child Left Behind requirements for professional development programs have generated a huge interest in this market," said Eskin. "And, as with any emerging market, there has been little or no hard data about spending levels, customer needs, decision-making processes, or preferred delivery systems."
