Andrew Schaefer named Vice President, Sales and Distribution, for Discovery Education - 3/29
It was announced today that education industry veteran, Andrew Schaefer, has been named Vice President, Sales and Distribution, for Discovery Education. The announcement was made by Bill Goodwyn, president, Domestic Distribution and Enterprises, Discovery Communications. In his new role, Schaefer will oversee all K-12 digital sales activities for Discovery Education.

New Elementary Saxon Math Program Available This Fall - 3/23
Helping students to build a strong foundation in mathematics, Saxon Publishers introduces the next version of its Saxon Math elementary program, including California and Texas editions, available this Fall 2007. A comprehensive, core math program, the new Saxon Math series offers additional hands-on and enrichment activities, problem-solving and performance tasks for all grade levels.

Daniel Caton Appointed President of MHLG - 3/22
Daniel Caton will take over as president of McGraw-Hill Learning Group (MHLG), effective April 2, succeeding Peter Sayeski, who is retiring. Dan is a proven educational publishing executive who has an outstanding track record as an accomplished leader, with extensive experience in product development, marketing and sales. He joins MHLG from Pearson's supplemental and alternative basal company, Pearson Learning Group, where he served as president.

Discovery Education Launches unitedstreaming Plus with Statewide Deal in Iowa - 3/20
Discovery Education, a division of Discovery Communications, Inc., announced that it has reached an agreement with the Iowa Educators Consortium to distribute its newly-launched unitedstreaming Plus service to all Iowa K-12 public and private schools through the 2010-2011 school year. †This is Discovery Education's first statewide distribution arrangement for unitedstreaming Plus.
