Currently in Congress

H.R. 1089 (Davis, D-Illinois), introduced to amend the Higher Education Act of 1965 to improve the opportunity for Federal student loan borrowers to consolidate their loans at reasonable interest rates (Education and the Workforce).

H.R. 1107 (Larson, D-Conn.), introduced to amend the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act to provide full funding for assistance for education of all children with disabilities (Education and the Workforce).

S. 503 (Bond, R-Missouri), introduced the "Education Begins at Home Act", to expand Parents as Teachers programs and other quality programs of early childhood home visitation (Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions); statement at S2009 – 2010.

S. 525 (Alexander, R-Tenn.), introduced the "Caring for Children Act of 2005", to amend the Child Care and Development Block Grant Act of 1990 to reauthorize the Act, to improve early learning opportunities and promote school preparedness (Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions); statements of Alexander and Enzi (R-Wyo.) and text of bill at S2031 – 2037.

The Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (Enzi, R-Wyo.) will mark up S. 250, the "Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Improvement Act of 2005"; 10:00 AM in 430 Dirksen.
