...NEW ED WEBSITE PROVIDES FREE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

The US Department of Education (ED) launched a new professional development website October 5 as part of it’s $3 million Teacher-to-Teacher (T2T) Initiative.  The new site is a free service to teachers and administrators nationwide and is based around a series of summer and fall T2T workshop sessions, recorded and converted to video-streaming format.  The video sessions feature training in reading and language-arts instruction, science and math instruction, data-driven decision making, and NCLB compliance—more specifically, the use of research-based practices and proven methods of using data to inform instruction.
