ASCD Releases Special Report on Achievement Gap

Following the success of their special report on the impact and implementation of NCLB, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) has issued a new SmartBrief Special Report on one of the most troubling problems facing schools today--the achievement gap. ASCD's two-part report offers a collection of resources designed to help educators better understand the issues surrounding the achievement gap. Part I of the report explores the causes of the gap, while Part II examines strategies for closing it.
