After 4 years as an elementary, sixth grade classroom teacher
in Chelmsford, MA, Barbara joined Curriculum Associates
(Billerica, MA) as their first full-time employee. Barbara’s
20-year career at CA included positions as National Consultant,
National Sales Manager and Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
In 1992, Barbara became an entrepreneur and formed her own
company, Options
Publishing, Inc. (Merrimack, NH). Options is a supplemental,
educational publisher of K – 8 materials with a target
audience of urban, at - risk students. As President &
CEO, Barbara oversaw the company's record growth and success
in the K – 8 market.
Barbara is a member of the International Reading Association;
Association of Supervision of Curriculum Development; Small
Business Association; National Council Teachers of Mathematics;
American Association of Publishers; American Association
of Educational Publishers; Phi Beta Kappa.
