The CEO Roundtable presented four perspectives on the ideas and actions that are taking the market in new, unprecedented directions, as well as a "from the field" educator's response.

  • Publisher Perspective: Lou Pugliese, CEO of Moodlerooms, and Michael Jay of Educational Systemics on the opportunities and challenges for cloud computing in education.
     
  • Policy Perspective: Jay Diskey, Executive Director of the Association of American Publishers’ School Division, on the historic changes in the Texas adoption process and the impact on the educational resource industry.

  • Philanthropy Perspective: Stephen Coller, Senior Program Officer, The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, presented an overview of the Gates Foundation's vision for education and the parallel projects currently in progress, including the Learning Resource Metadata Initiative (LRMI).
     
  • Peer Perspective: A panel of industry executives discussed the issues presented that day and what they see as Game Changers. The panel included

    • Margery Mayer, President, Scholastic Education
    • Ben Weintraub, CEO, Merit Software
       
  • Educator Response: Sheryl Abshire, Ph.D., CTO, Calcasieu Parish Public Schools, on the discussions of the day in light of what's happening in the classroom.
