Distinguished Achievement Awards

The Distinguished Achievement Awards (DAAs) honor the best in a range of product types and resources used by teachers, parents, and students in four categories:

Within these four categories, entries are broken down into subject-specific subcategories. Outside of Periodicals, there are no audience subdivisions. Periodicals entries are divided into PreK-12 and Adult subdivisions only. You can view the subcategories below or view the full descriptions here.

Entry Requirements

  • For the entry requirements, click here.

  • Please note any special entry requirements listed in the individual subcategory descriptions.

  • Failure to follow the entry directions may result in a low evaluation score and/or disqualify your product and forfeit its right to be judged. If there are any questions, please read the Awards FAQ and/or call us at 302-295-8351.

Your entries will not be judged until payment is received.

Judging
DAA entries are judged only against other products in their entry category and subcategory (i.e., Science resources are judged against other Science resources, Arts curricula against other Arts curricula). Please see the Judging page for more detailed information on the process and how you can be involved.

Finalists and Winners
DAA Finalists are announced in a press release when the judging process is completed in April. At this point, product and company names will be posted in the Awards section of the AEP website. Winners are announced at the AEP Awards Banquet & Gala in June in Washington, DC.
