Judging Process:
Judging panels are drawn from a national pool of experts in educational
technology. The first tier of screening judges conducts an objective
evaluation of all entries. Selected entries proceed to final judging
where the finalists are reviewed and the winner is selected by AOL
and AEP.
Screening judges in the Distinguished
Achievement Awards educational technology awards do have the
option of elevating an entry for the AOL Award consideration. Otherwise,
only those that have entered the category will be considered.
Notification:
Finalists and non-finalists in all categories are notified via mail
and email in April 2007. Notification is sent to the contact name
specified on the entry form.
Ceremony:
The winner will be announced at the AEP Awards Banquet and Gala
scheduled for Tuesday, June 12, 2007, in Washington, DC. If the
winner is unable to attend the banquet, the award will be mailed.
Recognition:
Finalists receive a handsome certificate; the winner receives an
engraved plaque to recognize the achievement. AEP will publicize
all finalists and winners on its website and send press releases
to national newspapers and the education press.
