About
the AEP Awards
For
more than four decades the AEP Awards have honored outstanding resources
for teaching and learning. One of the largest and longest-running
awards programs for educational products, the AEP Awards aim to:
- identify products that
exemplify the highest standards of professional, quality educational
content,
- give credit and recognition
to the organizations who are leading the way in this field, and
- set benchmarks to which the rest
of the industry can aspire.
AEP Award winners are honored in June
at the Annual AEP Summit in Washington,
DC. Beacon winners receive their framed certificates during the
Beacon Luncheon; DAA and Golden Lamp winners are honored at the
black tie-optional AEP Awards Banquet & Gala.
Awards Categories
Distinguished Achievement Awards (DAAs)
The DAAs recognize the year's
top educational products in four categories: Curriculum, Periodicals,
Professional Development, and Technology & New Media.
DAA entries are judged only against other products in their entry
category, subcategory, and grade level. (e.g., middle school Arts
curricula are only judged against other middle school Arts curricula) More...
Golden Lamp Awards
As its name implies, the Golden Lamp is the gold standard
for educational products. Unlike the DAAs, only four Golden
Lamps are awarded—one each for Curriculum, Periodicals, Professional
Development, and Technology & New Media. This means that
Golden Lamp entries are judged against products from all subjects
and grade levels, raising the level of competition and distinction. More...
Beacon Awards
The Beacon Awards shine the spotlight on the crucial but
often under-appreciated field of education marketing.
From catalogs to social media optimization to integrated campaigns,
the Beacons include entry categories for all facets of today's education
marketing field. From among the 13 entry categories, one product
is chosen as the Gold Beacon, the year's most innovative
and successful education marketing initiative. More...
