The Gold Beacon Award represents the highest achievement in
education marketing. The recipient is chosen from the category
winners, and all judges debate and select the Gold Beacon.
As one judge said, this year’s winner in both copy and
design is “just perfect.” The piece displayed an
understanding of the teen market in language and imagery, and
everything about it was high quality while maintaining a sense
of belonging and fun. In a true testimony to its effectiveness,
one judge said, “[It] made us all want to be Girl Scouts.”
